What is KLEE 2026 Exam?

The Kerala Law Entrance Exam (KLEE) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala for admission to 5-year integrated LLB and 3-year LLB programmes in government and self-financing law colleges.

What is the eligibility for KLEE 5-year LLB?

Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission to Professional courses unless otherwise notified. However, only those candidates who are of Kerala origin (Keralite) are eligible for any type of reservation or any fee concession. Candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or any other examination recognised by the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto.

Is a Diploma after 10th eligible for 5-year LLB in Kerala?

Yes. A 3-year Diploma/Polytechnic course after 10th, recognized by the Government, is considered equivalent to +2 for admission to the 5-year integrated LLB course.

Can I do LLB after open schooling?

Yes. Candidates who obtained 10+2 or graduation through open university systems with  basic qualification are eligible for admission to law courses.

What is the minimum marks required for KLEE 5-year LLB?

To be eligible for admission to the 5-year Integrated LLB course, a candidate must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examination. Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) are eligible with a minimum of 42% marks, while candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) are eligible with 40% marks. It is important to note that rounding off of marks is not permitted, and candidates must meet the exact minimum percentage requirement.

Is there an upper age limit for KLEE?

In terms of age eligibility, the applicant must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2025. There is currently no fixed upper age limit; however, it is subject to the decisions of the Supreme Court of India and the rules of the Bar Council of India. If the age restriction under the Legal Education Rules, 2008 is reinstated, only candidates falling within the prescribed age limit will be eligible to appear for the entrance examination.
