1. What is the KLEE 2026 Entrance Exam?

The Kerala Law Entrance Examination (KLEE) is the mandatory state-level test for LLB admission in Kerala. Conducted by the CEE Kerala (Commissioner of Entrance Examinations), it is the primary gateway for students aspiring to join government and top-tier private law colleges for 3-year and 5-year integrated law programs.

2. Which law courses are available through KLEE?

Through KLEE, students can secure admission in:

5-Year Integrated LLB: Best for students after Plus Two (e.g., BA LLB, B.Com LLB, BBA LLB).

3-Year Unitary LLB: For candidates who have already completed a graduation degree.

âś… Eligibility & Qualifications

1. What is the minimum percentage required to apply?

To be eligible for admission, you must meet the following minimum mark requirements in your qualifying exam:

General Category: 45%

Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC): 42%

SC/ST Category: 40%

Note: Rounding off percentages to the nearest integer is not permitted.

2. Are students from Science or Commerce backgrounds eligible for Law?

Yes! Students from any stream (Science, Commerce, or Humanities) at the Plus Two level can apply for the 5-year LLB. Similarly, graduates from any faculty can apply for the 3-year LLB.

3. Is there an age limit for KLEE 2026?

For 5-year LLB: You must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2026. There is currently no upper age limit.

For 3-year LLB: There is no lower or upper age limit for this course.

What is the exam format and marking scheme?

KLEE is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be completed in 2 hours.

Correct Answer: +3 marks
Incorrect Answer: -1 mark (Negative marking applies)
Total Marks: 360

What subjects are covered in the KLEE syllabus?

Both the 3-year and 5-year exams cover four main areas:

Legal Aptitude: 42 Questions
General English: 36 Questions
GK & Current Affairs: 27 Questions
