Currently, there are 26 NLUs that accept CLAT scores for admission. While NLU Delhi conducts its own exam (AILET), almost all other premier NLUs, including NLSIU Bangalore and NALSAR Hyderabad, are part of the CLAT Consortium.
3. What is the eligibility criteria for CLAT UG 2026?
Education: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates).
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for appearing in the CLAT exam.
Appearing Students: Students appearing for their board exams in March/April 2026 are also eligible to apply.

Marking Scheme: +1 mark for every correct answer; -0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
Sections: English Language, Current Affairs (including GK), Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.
5. Does the Legal Reasoning section require prior law knowledge?
No. The Consortium of NLUs specifies that prior legal knowledge is not required. The section tests your ability to identify legal principles provided in a passage and apply them to a given fact situation. However, being aware of current legal affairs helps in faster comprehension.
